1950's Steiff Mohair Lying BENGAL TIGER CUB 2317.0  Approximately 10" ALL Tags (Readable) & Button EXCELLENT CONDITION!!! from non-smoking home. This fantastic reclining tiger cub of vivid oranges and black Mohair (59% wool, 41% cotton) has his paper chest tag in perfect condition and his raised silver script button and readable ear tag (slightly curled). He has piercing glass green eyes rimmed in black, all of his nylon whiskers, pink embroidered nose, air brushed and all embroidered claws. His tail is still originally tacked to his back end! I believe he is either straw or excelsior stuffed because he feels hard and sounds "crunchy" when you smash him a little. Ears and tail intact in original condition. He is in near Mint condition, no hair loss, without fading, tears, holes, odors, repairs or damage of any kind. He was not mine originally but I have had him displayed in a glass enclosed furniture piece for 25+ years in my non-smoking home. Please see all photos for best description.
