Rare Vintage Steiff Running Lion Cub Mohair Plush 3in H X 6.75in L, 1950s, no ID.
This little cub is unjointed with tan mohair. He is airbrushed with darker spots on his body, and brown airbrush on the back of his ears, end of his tail and around eyes.
He has green eyes with black oval pupils, possibly glass.
He has a floss pinkish/coral nose, monofilament whiskers and black floss mouth.
He also has longer lighter color mohair ‘sideburns’.
According to research this young lion was made from 1954-1957.
He is in good vintage condition.
He has some reddish coloring at the top of his back, possibly from child play. I have not tried to clean it.
This was given to me by a friend to sell. We are not collectors and I do my best to describe. Please see pictures and ask if you have any questions. This lion, along with other Steiff minis, has been packed away for many years.
