Vintage Steiff 11" JOCKO Mohair Monkey / Chimpanzee, c. 1940's-50's

This listing is for an adorable Steiff mohair monkey or chimpanzee named JOCKO, c. 1940's-50's.
This figure has a hard stuffed chocolate brown mohair body with amber/brown glass eyes and air-brushed details across face. Although there are no identification tags on the body, this chimpanzee is guaranteed to be made by Steiff and as advertised (does have tiny puncture in ear where button was originally placed).
Measures 11" tall (standing) and 6 1/2" high (sitting). Weighs 4.6 ounces.
This cute chimp figure is in very good Estate condition although there are a few flaws. There is a hole in right felt hand and another in right felt foot (straw fill exposed), one faint thin spot in mohair at left shoulder and the mohair body needs to be "fluffed" a little. There are places in the arms and legs where the filling has shifted but overall the figure is considered to be in very good condition for age. He doesn't appear to have been played with just not  appropriately stored for best care. No tags.
