Vintage Steiff "Mecki" Hedgehog with ID 7" tall 1950s
This vintage Mecki has his name tag attached to his chest and a bracelet with part of an ID flag with a button around his wrist. His name tag has been glued back together- see photos. My guess is that the bracelet was added and that the tag may not be the original for this particular Mecki however it is an old tag and button so it could be. He still has his vest buttons and a little twine belt.
Little Mecki looks like he may have been a favorite for someone in his past as he is a bit untidy- he looks "loved". His hair has detached a bit on his forehead and could use a touch of glue but overall for a toy of this age, he is doing pretty well.
