Vintage Steiff "Peggy" Penguin 8" tall, mohair w/button, swivel head, glass eyes
Penguins are always stunning but "Peggy" is such a nice example of Steiff's attention to detail. The airbrushed edge of her wings and the webbing on her feet are terrific. Her head swivels so she can look over her shoulder just like real penguins often do when viewed at the zoo.
Her mohair is in nice condition, she's been cleaned and fluffed as she had a play life in the past. her embossed silver toned button is present but the yellow flag and name tag are missing. She would look wonderful on a shelf or just hanging out on a desktop watching the world go by.
