Vntg Steiff Wool Henne Pom Pom Mini Bird Rooster Glass Eyes Wire Metal Feet 1508

Description

One of 12 wool Steiff pom pom birds I purchased from the estate of a collector. This little mini rooster has wire or metal feet which Steiff started to phase out in 1957 except on the roosters hens and ducks. It has a felt tail and crown and glass eyes. There is no Steiff tag attached but it is pictured in my Steiff reference book. It is very cute in a comical looking way.
It appears to be in good condition with two flaws. The beak is missing but the wool is thick so it's not very noticeable and there is a spot on the right tail feather as you look down on it.
